Cubby Bakehouse is a great place to take your kids. The cafe has a beautiful garden for the kids to run around in, so you can sit and relax while they burn off some energy. They offer an all-day brunch menu with yummy croissants, eggs benny and french toast, and if you visit closer to lunchtime items on the menu include burgers, sausage rolls and baguettes.

If there’s one thing we know about kids…it’s that they love baked goodies! Cubby’s specialties include delicious tarts and cookies, eclairs and brownies, with vegan and gluten free options available.

Pasture & Co, Currumbin

The coffee is great, the food is good and kids are very welcome. Pasture and Co is ideal for families with young children wanting a relaxing outing as it’s in the beautiful Currumbin Valley eco village surrounded by nature.

With a huge fig tree to climb and a large open grassed area, it’s also one of our favorite places to take our mini-me’s – they can play in the great outdoors while the grown-up’s enjoy some quality time together over delicious food and coffee!

Custard Canteen, Tallebudgera

Custard Canteen is located in next to Tally Creek, one of the Goldy’s most famous swimming spots. With a relaxed alfresco vibe, spread out on a picnic blanket or set up camp on a lawn chair or picnic table. The all-day brunch menu at Custard Canteen is delish and you can’t leave without tasting on their famous Portuguese tarts. The staff are friendly too – my kids love chatting with them while we wait for our order to arrive 🙂

Dune Cafe, Palm Beach

Dune Cafe in the Palm Beach parklands is a kid-friendly cafe with a chilled atmosphere. The cafe has a large outdoor seating area where kids can run around and play while parents relax and enjoy their coffee. There’s also a small indoor area for kids with toys and lounges, making it the perfect place to bring your little ones.
By far the best part of bringing your kiddos to this cafe is the massive playground right outside, the Pirate Park! On warmer days throw in your swimmers and take a dip.

Paddock Bakery, Burleigh Heads

Open daily, this former Queenslander home has become a popular hub for families, pet owners, and pastry lovers. Sit down in the charming outdoor courtyard surrounded by lush greenery and enjoy creme fraiche scrambled eggs while your kids order a Cookie Monster treat from the milk bar or a smoothie with ice cream. The Henchman, Miami

With it’s relaxed atmosphere and fun vibes, The Henchman is a great cafe to visit with the kids. There’s a large outdoor undercover area picnic tables and cool murals and the kids can wander a little while you tuck in to your coffee and food. Depending on what day you visit you might be treated to some live music as well!
The Henchman offers an amusing kids menu, juices, smoothies and organic coffee from the Byron Bay Coffee Company.

Nobbys Shack, Nobbys Beach

You know those places that are just so good, you want to tell everyone about them? That’s Nobbys Shack. You wouldn’t know it from looking at this venue from the street, but there’s a huge deck out the back with a playground! It’s a great little cafe with friendly staff and great coffee and food, as well as a kids menu at reasonable prices in an awesome location on Nobbys Beach.

BSKT Cafe, Mermaid Beach

BSKT Cafe is a kid friendly cafe in Mermaid Beach. It’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so you can enjoy breakfast there with the family any time of day.

BSKT has a play area for kids to run around in and a playground out the back–your little one will get plenty of exercise here! There are also highchairs available if you need them (and we all know how important that is).
